CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Landing a job with a $100,000 salary sounds like a dream to many people, but the reality is you aren’t going to get to keep all of that money.
From state and federal taxes to Social Security and Medicare, there are a lot of little things that eat into your paycheck. And as we all know, where you live and work can make a big difference when it comes to the taxes you pay every two weeks.
A new study from GoBankingRates found out exactly how much salary you’d have to earn to actually bring home $100,000 in every state. Keep in mind nine states don’t have income taxes: Alaska, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming.
