MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A Spartanburg County man will spend over a decade in prison for his involvement in a shooting that injured a Myrtle Beach police officer in 2023.
19-year-old London Staggs pleaded guilty on Thursday to first-degree assault and battery and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, according to the solicitor’s office.
Staggs was sentenced to 15 years in prison; 10 years for the assault charge and 5 years for the firearms charge. Those sentences will be served consecutively.
