Traffic Stop Uncovers Gun in Glove Box: Delaware Man Faces Firearm and Fraud Charges

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — A 27-year-old Delaware man is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop conducted by Kennett Square Police earlier last week.

The incident took place on April 2, 2025, at approximately 8:14 a.m., when officers on stationary patrol in the 600 block of S. Union Street observed a silver Nissan with heavily tinted windows and windshield traveling southbound. Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 100 block of Oak Avenue and made contact with the driver, identified as Hayalyn Bryan.

During the stop, Bryan produced his Delaware driver’s license but informed officers he would not retrieve additional documents, stating that he had a firearm stored in his glove box. Investigators determined that Bryan was not legally permitted to carry the weapon…
