Convicted judge moved to Cumberland County Prison

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Suspended Dauphin County Judge Sonya McKnight was moved to Cumberland County Prison following after her attempted murder conviction this week.

McKnight, 59, was found guilty following a three-day trial of shooting her ex-boyfriend, Michael McCoy, 55, in the head as he slept in a home along Saddle Drive in Susquehanna Township in February 2024.

She was convicted of attempted murder and aggravated assault charges. Sentencing is scheduled for May 28…
