With the chance for severe weather in North Alabama on Thursday afternoon and evening, some schools are choosing to dismiss early.
We’ll update this list as we hear from more school systems:
- Cullman County Schools: All schools will dismiss at 1:30 p.m.
- Decatur City Schools: Elementary schools will dismiss at 2 p.m. Secondary schools will dismiss at 2:40 p.m. All afternoon activities are canceled.
- Hartselle City Schools: Pre-K – 4th grades will dismiss at 2 p.m. Grades 5 through 12 will dismiss at 2:20 p.m. All after-school activities are canceled.
- Huntsville City Schools: All after-school activities canceled. The Spring Virtual Job Fair will continue as planned.
- Madison City Schools: After-school activities canceled. Extended day will close at 4 p.m.
- Madison County Schools: All after-school activities canceled at 4 p.m. After-school care programs close at 5 p.m.
- Morgan County Schools: All schools will dismiss at 2 p.m.
- St. John Paul II: All after-school athletics and activities are canceled.
