Lowe’s joins Costco, Target in nationwide holiday closure

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Lowe’s has announced it will close all its U.S. stores for a full day later this month in observance of an upcoming spring holiday.

The big-box home improvement retailer, which operates over 1,700 stores across the country, including two here on Staten Island, has confirmed that all stores will be closed on Sunday, April 20, to allow employees to spend Easter with their family.

“All Lowe’s stores will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 20, for customers and associates to spend time with their loved ones,” the company noted in a press release. “For customers looking to shop on Easter, there will be a one-day online-only sales event on Lowes.com.”…
