Names released of two people killed in weekend motorcycle crash near Portland

MONROE COUNTY, Wis. – As we reported earlier this week a Stoddard man and his female passenger were both killed in a motorcycle crash that happened over the weekend on State Highway 33 in the town of Portland. Further information is being released related to that crash and the driver has been identified as 41-year-old Travis T. Brommerich of Stoddard. The passenger has been identified as 39-year-old Jennifer R. Schultz of La Crosse.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and no further information is planned to be released at this time.

MONROE COUNTY, Wis. – According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office a 41-year-old Stoddard man and his female passenger were killed when the motorcycle he was driving lost control and struck a vehicle on County Highway X on Sunday.

The Sheriff’s report states that the accident happened just after 5:00 p.m. on State Highway 33 near County Highway X in the Town of Portland. The report states that the initial investigation determined that a the driver was traveling west on State Highway 33 when he lost control while negotiating a curve. As a result, he was ejected from the motorcycle. The motorcycle and a passenger then collided with an eastbound car. Both the motorcycle operator, and his passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene. There were no injuries to the occupants of the Cruze. The identity of those deceased are not being released at this time pending notification of family…
