Woman arrested in connection with stabbing near Florence

FLORENCE, Ore. – A Florence area woman was arrested on Tuesday evening for allegedly stabbing another person during an incident at a home south of Florence, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

LCSO officials said they responded at about 9 p.m. on April 8 to a home on Canary Road south of Florence where an argument reportedly led to a stabbing incident. Due to limited staffing and distance involved from previous calls, it took deputies about 40 minutes to arrive in emergency response, sheriff’s deputies said. The sheriff’s office said they contacted an involved person at the home who had cuts to their face and a puncture wound in one leg. A second involved person was found in a nearby vehicle, authorities said.
