PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — Peoria police have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on Wednesday afternoon.
On Thursday, authorities identified the driver as Cristofer Paz Gutirrez, 22, of Glendale.
Peoria police say the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. near 79th and Peoria avenues. Investigators say Gutirrez was headed eastbound on Peoria when he rear-ended a Toyota Camry, which was stopped in traffic. Gutirrez was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the Camry is cooperating with authorities and wasn’t hurt in the collision, officers confirmed. The crash remains under investigation…
