Regan Development has revised plans for an affordable housing development to be built on the site of the Amherst Bowling Center at 47 E. Amherst Street. A three-story, U-shaped building with 134 apartments is planned for the site. The previously-approved project included a two-story building with commercial space along Pannell Street and a four-story building along East Amherst Street with a total of 130 units. Plans for commercial space have been dropped. HHL is project architect.

Construct a 134 residential unit apartment building that forms a “U” as a singular building fronting on 3-streets consisting of Pannell, East Amherst and Holden Streets. This building is proposed as a 3-story Stacked Unit Type, with 134 affordable residential dwelling units of 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom unit types.
