Man wanted for shootout at Mississippi truck stop arrested by U.S. Marshals

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A man wanted on homicide charges stemming from a shootout at a Mississippi truck stop was arrested in Memphis by the United States Marshals Service (USMS).

The USMS said 40-year-old Montrell Ellis was captured Thursday on Hedman Avenue in Frayser. He was wanted for a homicide in Marshall County, Mississippi.

Less than a month earlier, on March 22, Ellis was involved in a shootout at JoJo’s Truck Stop on Highway 158 West, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office…
