ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – An injured adult black bear that garnered attention on social media was found dead in Altamonte Springs.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, staff with the FWC Bear Management Program responded to a report of a dead bear on Wednesday, which appears to have been the same injured bear reported recently in the area and that FWC had been trying to locate.
FWC had set up two traps and canvassed in areas where the bear had been reported in attempts to capture the bear and further evaluate her injuries, but the bear did not go near either trap…
