Owner of Swansea used-car dealership arraigned on dozens of fraud charges

Bristol County prosecutors said Friday that the owner of a Swansea used-car dealership was arraigned on dozens of fraud charges.

The district attorney’s office said 46-year-old Edward Cicciu of Attleboro appeared in Fall River Superior Court on Thursday.

Cicciu was arraigned on 43 counts of larceny under $1,200 by false pretenses, two counts of larceny by check over $1,200, 37 counts of forging or misusing a Registry of Motor Vehicles document, 38 counts of failing to deliver title upon a motor vehicle transfer, and five counts of larceny of a motor vehicle.
