Smoke advisory issued for eastern Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A smoke advisory has been issued by the Department of Health and Human Services and the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy due to prescribed burn in the Central Plains region.

The advisory is issued for 6 a.m. Saturday through noon on Sunday. The possible moderate (yellow) to unhealthy for sensitive groups (orange) Air Quality Index (AQI) may potentially affect Beatrice, Bellevue, Columbus, Fairbury, Grand Island, Hastings, Lincoln, Nebraska City, Norfolk, Omaha and York.
