On January 16, Minnesota’s Attorney General, Keith Ellison, filed a lawsuit in Ramsey County District Court against a Florida-based company because of illegal marketing practices.

Court Bans Florida Company From Doing Business in Minnesota

The suit alleged that High Light Vapes illegally marketed e-cigarette products that were made to look like highlighters, making them easily concealable and appealing to children.

According to the lawsuit, High Light advertised its products as a “stealthy” and “disguised” way to vape anywhere, and the flavored e-cigarettes came in kid-friendly flavors like Strawberry Cheesecake, Blueberry Raspberry, Sour Apple, and Magic Fruit.

The court’s ruling bans High Light Vapes from operating in Minnesota. If the company violates this order, it will face a $50,000 penalty and other potential sanctions.
