SWAT team arrests 19-year-old accused of firing a gun while trespassing in vehicles

DENVER ( KDVR ) — A 19-year-old and a 20-year-old were arrested after a SWAT operation in Loveland on Monday , the Loveland Police Department shared Thursday.

Police went to the Autumn Lake Apartments for an arrest and a search warrant after investigating reports of a man attempting to trespass into vehicles on Sunday, March 30. Police said a victim drove up to the area of Boise Avenue and El Diente Peak Place after seeing suspicious activity, and the man brandished and discharged a firearm.

The victim fled the area and contacted police, according to the agency.

The investigation led to the arrest of Joseph Excel Eugen Hollowell, 19, of Loveland. He is now facing charges of:

  • Menacing
  • Possession of weapons by a previous offender
  • Unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon
  • Two counts of illegal discharge of a firearm
  • Two counts of reckless endangerment
  • Contributing to the delinquency of a minor
  • First-degree criminal trespass
