Teen charged with attempted malicious wounding of Prince William County officer

WOODBRIDGE, Va. ( DC News Now ) — A 17-year-old is facing multiple charges after an alleged attempted malicious wounding of an officer in Woodbridge Thursday, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

Police say officers responded to reports of vehicle tampering around 3:30 a.m. at the Orchard Mills Apartments in the 3300 block of Bronson Ct.

As officers were checking the parking lot, a car sped up and hit the cop car before driving away, prompting a police chase.
