‘They are invasive’ | Indiana property owners encouraged to chop down blooming trees

FISHERS, Ind. — Their bright white — and sometimes stinky — blooms are currently popping up across central Indiana and one county is working to get rid of them.

Conservationists are again speaking out against Bradford pear trees, saying the popular tree can cause major problems for homeowners.

“I decided right then, ‘Well, I’m tired of fighting with the tree,'” said Fishers resident Todd Gee. “It’s time to take it down.”…
