Palm Beach council approves first reading of rule that targets unapproved construction

Development teams that change construction plans without the approval of either the Architectural Commission or the Landmarks Preservation Commission soon could get hit with stop-work orders and hefty application fees.

The Town Council on Tuesday gave unanimous initial approval to a draft ordinance that would clamp down on construction that deviates from approved site plans.
