Suspect Arrested After Phoenix PD Officers Deploy Grappler Police Bumper

PHOENIX, Ariz., Apr. 12 (KNN)—Late Friday night, Phoenix police officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a Mercedes-Benz in the area of 7th Avenue and South Mountain Avenue. This led to a felony flight and the suspect’s ultimate arrest after the Grappler Police Bumper was deployed.

The reason for the initial traffic stop has yet to be confirmed. The driver did not yield to officers, and a felony flight was established.

The Phoenix Police Department helicopter and officers from the Phoenix Police Tactical Support Bureau responded to the area to assist.

The air unit quickly acquired a visual of the vehicle and began tracking it while the ground units disengaged and began following at a safe distance…
