The family behind a popular sushi restaurant and a popular ramen restaurant in Baton Rouge is preparing to open an all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant in Ascension Parish called Shokudo: Premium AYCE . Located in a former Japanese restaurant at 217 N. Airline Hwy. in Gonzales , the new restaurant will not be a buffet. Instead, customers will order rounds of made-to-order sushi and other Japanese dishes. Customers won’t be limited by the number of dishes they can order, but they will have a limit on how long they can stay. According to Daily Report , the restaurant will open in late spring or early summer.
