Single-vehicle crash forces three-lane closure of I-15 in Draper, causing heavy backup

DRAPER, Utah (KUTV) — A single-vehicle crash involving a truck and trailer shut down three northbound lanes of I-15 in Salt Lake County on Sunday afternoon, backing up traffic for miles.

The crash occurred near 14200 South in Draper and was first reported shortly before 11:30 a.m. on April 13 by the Utah Department of Transportation.

Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden said the driver of a northbound truck hauling a trailer began weaving through traffic and lost control. The trailer, still attached to the truck, tipped over and landed on its side in lane four of the five-lane highway…
