Bill Moore Announces Campaign for Orange County Sheriff to ‘Reset The Tone’

Bill Moore, a veteran law enforcement officer and community advocate, has officially announced his candidacy for Orange County Sheriff and pledged to “reset the tone” while citing transparency and accountability concerns.

Moore said he is running to restore trust, transparency, and accountability within the sheriff’s office, citing concerns over current Sheriff John Mina’s handling of critical public safety information on immigration enforcement.

Moore’s filing of candidacy paperwork follows revelations outlined in a The Gateway Pundit article, titled “FL Police Chief “Don’t Arrest Illegals”, Refuses To Work With ICE,” National File’s article titled “Local Police Defy State Immigration Law, Refusing to Cooperate with ICE,” and Law Enforcement Today’s follow-up article, titled, “Orange County, FL sheriff gets inducted into LET gutless police administrator’s Hall of Shame,” where discrepancies in the current administration’s communication with the public was exposed by a leaked internal email to patrol deputies, with a directive: “Any ICE/Immigration related calls must be cleared through the chain of command to the Undersheriff and Sheriff.”

Moore conducted his own analysis of publicly available emails and statements made by Sheriff John Mina and posts on the agency’s social media accounts.
