Tornado outbreak reports from April 2-5

A multi-day severe weather outbreak occurred across the Mid-South from April 2-5, including multiple strong tornadoes and devastating flooding.

The National Weather Service in Memphis has confirmed 26 tornadoes across the Mid-South from April 2-5. That number may still increase as damage surveys are not yet complete.

15 of the 26 tornadoes confirmed were in the News Channel 3 coverage area outlined above.

The strongest tornadoes were rated EF3 with wind speeds between 160 – 165 mph.
