NAMPA, Idaho – The Montana State University Billings track and field teams put together another successful meet at the NNU Open hosted by Northwest Nazarene, with the program’s athletes putting up a handful of top marks and PR’s.
Highlighting the finishes on the day for MSUB was a school record result in the women’s 4×100 relay team consisting of Bella Klein, Mya Richardson, Kyanna Jarvis, and Katelyn Hamill. The foursome finished in third place at the meet with a time of 48.86, beating the previous MSUB school record time of 48.98 set at last season’s GNAC Championships. Three of the four members of last season’s record-breaking crew in Klein, Richardson, and Hamill carried over to this year’s group too.
MSUB’s sprinters stood out on both sides during the meet, apart from the school record in the 4×100. Richardson would also collect a third-place finish in the 100m with a time of 12.45, and sixth in the 200m with a time of 25.95. Maddy Lloyd would collect a PR in the 200m behind Richardson, finishing in eighth with a mark of 26.52. Also collecting a PR on the day were Kyanna Jarvis, who finished in fourth place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.65. Meanwhile, Klein and Severson would each grab fifth place finishes, with Klein running a 59.42 in the 400m, and Severson running a 2:28.73 in the 800m…
