The system could bring medium-risk gusty winds and hail, with isolated lightning strikes and even a brief, low-risk spin-up tornado not fully ruled out. The agency’s Severe Weather Outlook places much of eastern and northeastern Kentucky in a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) zone, while areas stretching toward Bowling Green remain in the Marginal Risk (Level 1) category.
