California’s Asparagus Festival Draws Crowds with Speared Delights and Local Flavor

STOCKTON, CA — The 39th annual San Joaquin County Asparagus Festival wrapped up with thousands flocking to the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds to celebrate the region’s iconic vegetable in every way imaginable—from deep-fried and stewed to asparagus-infused pizza and ice cream, according to attendees.

Meanwhile, local vendors like GG’s Pizza impressed with creations like garlic bacon jalapeño asparagus pizza.
