Tulsa bank robber sentenced after using rideshare as getaway vehicle

TULSA, OK (KTUL) — A Tulsa man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for bank robbery and possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon, U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson announced.

Markell Demond Stanley, 29, was sentenced to 120 months of prison followed by three years of supervised release.

Court documents revealed that a “hold up” alarm was triggered at a Tulsa bank in April 2024. Tulsa Police officers responded and gathered descriptions of the armed suspect from several witnesses.
