PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Portland is once again proving to be a trailblazer. The city is at the forefront of bringing manufacturing of footwear and apparel back to the United States, specifically Old Town in Portland, the city’s oldest neighborhood.
The neighborhood is rapidly transitioning into an innovation hub campus for footwear and apparel with 3D printing. April is the biggest milestone to date, according to Director of Design and Partnerships Matthew Claudel.
