SPARKS, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A man was arrested for DUI after he crashed into a yard and a light pole early Monday morning, according to the Sparks Police Department.
Sparks Police Officers responded to the area of Rock Blvd and Vance Way on report of a vehicle driving off the roadway and into a residential yard around 3:45 a.m. on April 14. The caller said they could hear vehicle alarms going off and that there was now a white van revving the engine but appeared to be stuck on a light pole, in close proximity to a home.
Authorities say officers arrived on scene and found the driver of the vehicle was incoherent. Officers were unable to identify the driver. The driver was ultimately uncooperative and he was transported to the jail in a WRAP safe restraint for his and officers’ safety.
The driver was booked into the Washoe County Jail where he was booked on the charges of driving under the influence and obstructing and resisting a public officer…
