San Diego County Shaken by 5.2 Magnitude Earthquake

A 5.2 magnitude earthquake rattled the San Diego area on Monday. The epicenter was located near Julian, California, approximately 30 miles northeast of downtown San Diego.

While initially reported as a magnitude 6.0, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) later downgraded the quake to a 5.2.

The San Diego Fire Department reported no immediate damage or injuries. As a precaution, some schools in the affected area were evacuated.

The San Diego Sheriff’s Department also confirmed no reports of injuries or significant damage.
