Division of Motor Vehicles offices in Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Carrboro and Wendell were effectively closed for a while Monday morning because of an internet outage.
Altogether, the outage affected more than 30 DMV and N.C. Department of Transportation sites, including six driver’s license offices and five license plate agencies, said spokesman Marty Homan. Those offices could not serve customers while the internet was down.
