The wait is over ! The new Varsity location in Watkinsville, purchased in fall of 2023, is finally open .
According to the restaurant’s Facebook page , this week, opening week, it will be open for drive-thru only. Its hours of operation are:
- Sunday – Thursday: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Friday – Saturday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Will the new Varsity in Watkinsville have indoor seating?
Yes, the former Burger King now The Varsity, located at 2271 Hog Mountain Rd., will also have dining room service soon.
The Varsity location nearby in Winder only has patio seating and a drive-through.

The Varsity first opened in 1928. The menu includes:
