RICHLAND, MISSISSIPPI – On April the second a Richland police department flex unit and narcotics investigator attempted to stop a motorcycle on i-20 near highway 49 for not displaying a tag.
The rider, identified as 42-year-old Michael Shane Dickerson of Jackson, failed to stop and initiated a pursuit that stretched approximately 30 miles through Richland, Pearl, Brandon, Pelahatchie, and across Scott County, nearing Newton County.
When officers finally arrested Dickerson, he was found with nearly 30 grams of methamphetamine intended for distribution and his criminal history includes over 20 prior arrests, 11 of which are felonies…
