WASHINGTON (7News) — In the heart of theD.C. metro area,FRESHFARM’s network of farmers markets is more than just a place to buy fresh produce. It’s an economic powerhouse that sustains local businesses and strengthens the community during times of an unpredictable economy.
The non-profit operates 26 farmers markets and farm stands in Virginia, Maryland and D.C. 7News spoke to FRESHFARM about the markets’ economic impacts on the local region.
