Romanian rearrested on EBT theft charges ordered held without bail

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Norbert Karaba, a Romanian rearrested on EBT theft charges, is now in custody on no bail. While out on bail for a January case, Karaba allegedly went to the Dollar Tree in Delano to place a card skimmer on the register terminal. Karaba faced a judge Tuesday for his initial case, and was ordered held without bail. He caught three new EBT and card skimming charges while out on bail. On Monday, he was in court with two other men who are seemingly part of a Romanian crime ring.
