(Whitewater Valley)–Driverless semis are now operating on I-70 as they pass through Wayne, Preble, and Henry County. There are only two of them so far. The two trucks deliver shipments between Columbus and Indianapolis and use what’s called platooning technology. That means a lead semi is operated normally by a human, and a second semi follows automatically. The driverless semis speed up, brake, and change lanes depending on what the lead truck does.
