CLOVIS, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A Clovis fire station serving the community since the 70s has been rebuilt from the ground up.
According to the Clovis Fire Department, Fire Station 2 received all new upgrades to better serve the growing southwest community. Located in the Helm Ranch Area, the new facility replaces the original station built in 1976.
Firefighters say the previous 6,300-square-foot station served the community for nearly 50 years, however, an assessment in 2019 revealed structural deterioration, limited accessibility, and space constraints.
