Students tour historically Black colleges during spring break

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – 26 students woke up bright and early on day one of their spring break for a bus ride.

For the next four days, the teens will be touring the nation’s historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The students will be given the HBCU experience so they have another choice when it comes to their futures.

The participating teens are part of the city’s Summer Youth Employment Program. Once the school year ends, they’ll be able to gain real work experience with various employers through Rochester…
