The Amarillo Police Department has announced the arrests of four individuals connected to a drive-by shooting that occurred on May 2nd, 2024, in the Eastridge neighborhood. The shooting was a preplanned and coordinated attack targeting one individual at a residence where multiple people, including children, were present. Although no one was injured, a bullet narrowly missed an infant by approximately six inches.
The investigation was led by the Neighborhood Police Officers for the Eastridge neighborhood, who utilized a wide range of department resources, including department technological assets, surveillance, and numerous evidentiary warrants. Through months of forensic analysis, interviews, and surveillance, investigators identified and charged the following individuals:
