The New Orleans Police Department is currently on the search for a man wanted in connection with an aggravated assault that took place earlier this year. The NOPD has named John Cornelius Smith, a Black male born on April 5, 1995, as the primary suspect in the case.

Public safety is a paramount concern, given that Smith is considered armed and dangerous. The NOPD has strongly advised against any form of direct public engagement with the suspect. Instead, they are urging anyone with information about Smith’s whereabouts to come forward and contact the police department immediately…
