ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The deadline to remove studded tires from vehicles is right around the corner. In many southern communities, it’s already in effect.
For communities north of 60° latitude, or north of Ninilchik, it’s illegal to drive with studded tires after May 1, including within the Municipality of Anchorage.
