SHELBY, N.C. (WBTV) – A man was arrested after deputies found a kilogram of cocaine during a Cleveland County traffic stop Monday.
Aaron Smith, 35, of Shelby, was apprehended, initially placed under no bond, and charged with the following:
- 2 counts of trafficking cocaine
- Felony maintaining vehicle dwelling
- Felony possession of a firearm by a felon
- 3 counts of resisting a public officer
The traffic stop happened around 9 p.m. on Monday, April 14, along South Morgan Street near Green Valley Drive.
