MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Alfa is taking steps to move its corporate headquarters to a facility on the east side of Montgomery, and on Tuesday it secured more than $7 million in city and county funding to do just that.
The Montgomery City Council and the Montgomery County Commission approved the incentive packages to keep the insurance giant from leaving the capital city.
“It sets the example of what we’re trying to do to recruit more corporate headquarters to the city and more white-collar jobs,” Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed said, “It’s just what you have to do in today’s government.”…
