N.J. man stabbed dog that bit his son, threatened its owner: police

A Gloucester County, New Jersey, man faces a criminal trial over a 2023 incident in which police say he stormed into a man’s house, threatened the man with a knife, and repeatedly stabbed a dog that had bitten his son.

Anthony M. Botte, 44, of South Harrison Township, was indicted on five counts last year, including second-degree burglary, third-degree counts of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree cruelty to animals…
