Iowa: Polk supervisors appoint new leaders at Prairie Meadows, saying they’ve been left in dark

As Polk County prepares to renegotiate its contract for Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino, three county supervisors who have dominated the board’s decision-making this year have decided to tap four new appointees to help oversee the county-owned racino in Altoona and shake up its oversight and management.
