BREAUX BRIDGE, La. – April 15, 2025 – Atmos Energy crews are working to restore natural gas service to approx. 268 customers in Breaux Bridge due to a temporary system outage. City officials and the fire departments have been notified, and no evacuations have been issued.
We are reaching out to customers in the affected area, and residents may see Atmos Energy trucks working throughout the area. If you have experienced an outage, an Atmos Energy technician is available to restore your gas service by relighting your natural gas appliances that are easily accessible and in a safe working condition.
As a reminder, a resident of the home or an authorized representative of the business who is 18 years of age or older must be present for the restoration services to be performed. When service is ready to be restored, here’s what you can expect:
- Your natural gas piping and appliances must pass a safety check.
- Atmos Energy will need access to your natural gas meter throughout this process.
- You may choose to have an Atmos Energy technician enter your home or business to relight gas appliances that are accessible and in a safe working condition. However, this is not a substitute for routine or manufacturer-recommended safety inspections and maintenance of your appliances and gas piping. Your gas piping and appliances are your responsibility and should be inspected periodically.
- If you are not home or at your business, we will leave a door tag with instructions. For questions regarding your natural gas service, please call 888.286.6700.
We would like to thank our customers for their patience and cooperation as we work to restore service as safely and efficiently as possible…
