Medical Examiner yet to determine cause of death for woman killed in hoarding house fire

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Medical Examiner has identified the woman killed in a house fire last week on Spokane’s South Hill but has not determined a cause of death yet.

According to the Medical Examiner, 65-year-old Lynn Zahniser and her two dogs died in the fire on 27th Avenue near Wall Street just before 1 a.m. April 9.

Firefighters arrived and saw flames on the first floor of the house that threatened nearby homes. It took about an hour for crews to knock the fire down…
