Memphis murder suspect arrested in Mississippi

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man who was wanted for murder was arrested in Southaven, Mississippi, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Antonio McClelland, 52, was taken into custody on Tuesday on a first-degree murder warrant. He is currently being held at the DeSoto County Detention Facility, where he is awaiting extradition back to Shelby County.

The U.S. Marshals said in a press release that on March 6, Jimmy L. Walker was found shot inside his apartment in the 3400 block of North Trezevant in Memphis. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. A warrant was issued for McClelland on March 11 for first-degree murder.
