MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A new Market Common ministry is opening at the site that once housed Solid Rock Church and its pastor, John-Paul Miller.
The 803 Howard Ave. location for months was the center of protests against Miller demanding justice for his late wife Mica, who died by suicide at Lumber River State Park in April 2024, as well as stronger domestic violence laws.
“We’re not associated with that church or that ministry at all,” Jordan Gandy, lead pastor at Market Common Community Church said. “We just had a heart to be in the Market Common area.”…
